Our design process is divided into several main phases as outlined below:

Concepting

The first stage of the process is consultation with the client regarding requirements for the site, its functions, 'look and feel' and target audience. When designing a web site one of the most important things to take into account is the actual purpose and intended audience of the site. We ask our clients the following questions:

  • What do you want from your web site, what should it do for you and for your visitors.
  • What is your target audience, for example is it the general public, people in your own industry, young people etc.
  • What message are you trying to get across to your visitors.

At this point we examine the existing corporate identity in terms of it's company colours, graphics, letterhead and logos etc. and see how best these can be translated to the web. We will advise on any outstanding technical issues that may arise at this point. For the smooth running of the production process, it is suggested that the client be able to provide the content (written matter and any imagery) as soon as possible. This will also give us a clearer idea of the size of the site, the navigation system, and of course costs.

Design

Within an agreed time period we will provide a mock design for the client to view. At this point we will again consult, adjust or exchange ideas, as well as discussing any technical issues and solutions. Once the design is approved, we will aim to complete the site as fast as possible, so any changes to the structure of the site in terms of extra pages or sections are best agreed now.

Completion

Following the completion of all works, scripting, coding and image production, the site undergoes comprehensive script and compatibility testing prior to it's launch, and the site is made live on the web.

Promotion

We then promote our clients' web site, submitting it to the top 10 search engines on the web at no additional cost. If our client requires more aggressive marketing then we advise them upon the best course of action for their particular needs, and can put in place a paid promotion system for them.

Updating

Maintaining your website and ensuring it is kept up to date is vital if you want to keep your visitors interested, and make the most of your on-line presence. The regularity of your updates will depend on your site, its purpose, style and the field of business you are in. Some sites can survive many months without changes, whereas others need up to the minute information. We are happy to carry out most reasonable update requests, but generally where minute by minute or day by day changes are required it is recommended that the client be able to make these changes for themselves 24/7. In this case we would be pleased to produce a system where our clients have direct access to, and the ability to change, their site's data.
